Insight JVA Client Downloads: Installation & Logon Instructions

The Java Client has been designed for the researcher and those desiring advanced software functionality, including enhanced zooming and panning capabilities, export of images to Powerpoint, etc. In order to view the collection using the JVA Client, special software must be downloaded. Downloading the software (19Mb) using a 56K modem may take an hour or more, 2 to 5 minutes when using a broadband connection.

Installation Instructions:

Win95/98/2000/NT/XP:

At the file download prompt, choose "save this program to disk" and then to your Desktop. After the download, double click the Insight icon, and click through the install process. When you are done, Insight will be available under your Start Menu/Programs/Luna Imaging/Insight 5.1. Start Insight by selecting it.

Logon Instructions for Windows users:

1) After installation, go to Start/Programs/Luna Imaging/Insight 5.1
2) Enter the Username: edinburgh and Password: edn
3) Select a collection by clicking once on the collection name, and then click the select button
